Privacy Policy
CupEnGramme has no user account and does not collect any personal data directly. This page explains in detail what does happen behind the scenes anyway — mainly third-party advertising cookies — and the rights that apply to you, even when data collection is minimal.
The tools run entirely in your browser
The measurement converter and portion scaler do all their calculations directly in your browser, in JavaScript. Nothing you type — quantities, ingredients, recipe text pasted into the portion scaler — is ever sent to a server, stored, or shared with anyone. Close the tab and it's all gone.
Google AdSense and advertising cookies
This site displays ads served by Google AdSense. To personalize these ads, Google and its advertising partners may place third-party cookies in your browser, which can track your browsing across sites for advertising purposes. CupEnGramme does not directly control these cookies — they are placed and managed by Google according to its own privacy policy.
You can turn off personalized advertising, or decline these cookies, by adjusting your preferences in Google Ads Settings. You can also block third-party cookies directly in your browser settings.
Google Analytics
As of the publication of this policy, CupEnGramme does not use Google Analytics — no tracking identifier is configured on the site. If this audience measurement tool were activated in the future, this policy would be updated accordingly to reflect its use before it takes effect.
Host's technical cookies
Our host, Cloudflare, may place purely technical cookies necessary for proper functioning, security, and abuse protection (for example, protection against automated bots). These cookies are not used for advertising and are not used to identify you personally.
What we do not collect
No account, no password, no email address, no payment information. The site has no built-in contact form — if you write to us, it's by regular email, at your own initiative, and that email is handled like any private correspondence, with no addition to a mailing list and no sharing with third parties.
Your rights under Law 25
Québec regulates the protection of personal information through the Act to modernize legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information (Law 25). Even though CupEnGramme does not directly collect personal information, some rights under this law remain relevant whenever a third-party advertising cookie could be indirectly associated with your browsing:
- The right to be informed of the collection of information concerning you and its purposes — that's the purpose of this page.
- The right to access the information an organization holds about you.
- The right to have that information corrected if it is inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated.
- The right to withdraw your consent to collection, in particular by disabling advertising cookies as explained above.
- The right to be informed in the event of a privacy incident presenting a risk of serious harm.
- The right to file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec if you believe your rights have not been respected.
Since CupEnGramme itself does not hold any identifiable personal information, exercising these rights regarding advertising cookies mainly goes through Google, via the settings mentioned above. For any question about this policy or about data that may concern you, you're still welcome to write to us directly.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the site evolves — adding Google Analytics, changing hosting provider, a new advertising partner. The "last updated" date at the top of the page always reflects the version currently in effect.
